Maxime, a seven-year-old girl, struggles to make sense of her father Frédéric’s death and everything that comes with it. Through her innocent eyes, the funeral feels strange, colorless and absurd. To face this loss, she leans on her mother Geneviève, her family, and above all, her memories of her father. She recalls the mornings they shared together, always beginning with his cheerful “Good morning.” The day after the funeral, as she opens the curtains, Maxime sees a “Bon Matin” bread truck pass by, a sign from her father that brings a smile back to her face.
